No Clashing Here: Cloud-Based Platforms Verifi3D and BIM Track Working Together to Capture Issues During Model Checking Through to Resolution

Xinaps is excited to announce that Verifi3D, its cloud-based model checker, is now connected with BIM Track, the leading issue-tracking platform for BIM coordination, further enhancing the workflows of professionals in the AEC industry and empowering users with advanced coordination, collaboration and validation processes.

Offered as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, Verifi3D allows users to classify their BIM data, visualize it in the Verifi3D Viewer, validate it using customizable rules and rulesets, and export and assign issues across various formats in real-time. BIM Track enables users to track issues from identification through to resolution with simplified communication, cross-platform interoperability, and coordination automation. Together, this results in improved speed of procuring valuable data analytics and reporting. Thanks to this new integration, users can publish issues from Verifi3D to BIM Track with individual assignation, due date, priority, status, type, location coordinates, and any associated screenshots. Issues can then be located directly in BIM Track’s add-ins with Naviworks, Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, or Archicad for a quick resolution.

Building better is our mission,” says Frank Schuyer, CEO of Xinaps. “By providing AEC professionals with powerful, intuitive, and user-driven tools, the model checking process can become more efficient. With Verifi3D, we are addressing the question of early data validation in a clear, easy-to-use manner. We are also devoted to answering the industry’s need for a digitized model checking process. By integrating with BIM Track, we have the opportunity to optimize processes real-time, coordinate all necessary information between project participants and contribute to a better building process.

The Verifi3D and BIM Track integration provides a truly efficient communication channel to track issues until they are resolved in the authoring software. It’s an exciting time for the industry since this new workflow provides a 100% web-based checking solution for BIM projects.” – Carl Veillette, Co-Founder and VP Product at BIM Track

Connecting Verifi3D’s model checking capabilities with BIM Track’s issue-tracking platform provides a seamless and efficient coordination workflow. This unique integration offers the best of both worlds: increase efficiency and leverage the power of model checking for a more efficient and optimized workflow.

More information about Verifi3D and Xinaps can be found at [email protected] or review the integration in the BIM Track Integrations page.

About Xinaps

Xinaps is the company behind Verifi3D, a cloud-based model checking solution for BIM models. Verifi3D optimizes and automates existing BIM workflows in the late design and pre-construct phase. Together with you, as innovators in the AEC industry, we provide solutions that modernize the field and help build smarter, safer, and better buildings for everyone. We believe in building better.

About BIM Track

BIM Track is a web-based BIM Model coordination and collaboration platform. Thanks to BIM Track, all stakeholders can track issues, questions, comments, clashes, RFIs, and more directly in their preferred software Whether in Navisworks, Revit, Tekla structures, or any construction software, users connect through custom-designed plugins or integration, so nobody needs to leave their everyday environment. Because the coordination data is centralized, setting accountability and easy tracking of the evolution of projects is a snap. With the viewer, all non-BIM stakeholders can also review and comment easily.

With BIM Track, better coordination = better buildings.

Verifi3D deepens integration with Autodesk BIM 360 to streamline model coordination and collaboration for construction teams!

Verifi3D deepens integration with Autodesk BIM 360 to streamline model coordination and collaboration for construction teams!

Xinaps is thrilled to announce that Verifi3D, the cloud-based model checking solution for the AEC industry is tightly synced with Autodesk® BIM 360®now part of the Autodesk Construction CloudTM. With Verifi3D’s latest release, customers can now integrate with BIM 360 Issues, taking issue management to a whole new level for mutual customers.

The construction industry is going through a digital transformation journey, leading to rising demand for better model coordination between teams and better-integrated workflows. A significant part of the classification and checking of building models is still performed manually, costing significant time and effort and leading to errors. Although every project is different, common challenges include model coordination and the lack of interdisciplinary coordination between designers, engineers, and contractors.

Verifi3D bridges gaps between design and the construction stages. It is a dedicated model checker that lets the teams work more collaboratively and gets more done in the cloud in real-time. As an agnostic solution, Verifi3D is integrated with Common Data Environments (CDEs), such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360. It also now integrates with BIM 360 for issue management and tracking.

What does the integration with BIM 360 mean for you?

Teams can easily create and assign issues and then track them to resolution, allowing them to instantly view all constructability issues in real-time in the cloud.

Regardless of place, time, or solution you’re working with, you get the most up-to-date, most accurate models and issues in BIM 360 and Verifi3D. The BIM 360 integration provides Verifi3D users with a centralized issue hub for clashes discovered during model coordination, enabling them to visualize, investigate and manage issues without needing to switch between software applications. Users can generate issues from both BIM 360 and Verifi3D, making updates easy to share and providing relevant stakeholders access to more up-to-date and accurate data.

Effective model coordination and collaboration is essential on modern construction projects,” says James Cook, head of integrations at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “Our new integration with Verfi3D further streamlines model coordination workflows for project teams so they can improve model quality and reduce potential downstream risks and rework.

Frank Schuyer, CEO of Xinaps quotes, “This integration helps our clients identify and resolve issues in a faster, more traceable way. It takes the user workflow for design evaluations to the next level. Gone are the days when you had to export reports and send emails back and forth just to get reviews done, which invariably resulted in data and time loss.

Connect Verifi3D’s model checking capabilities with BIM 360’s issue tracking platform for a more efficient coordination workflow.

Verifi3D supports NL/SfB – The Dutch classification for building components!

Verifi3D supports NL/SfB – The Dutch classification for building components!

Verifi3D now supports NL/SfB as a classification filter set. NL/SfB is the most commonly used classification for building components in the Netherlands. The Verifi3D application provides a library of templates to help make the model checking process easy.

The NL/SfB is derived from the international CI/SfB classification. With NL/SfB the BIM elements can be organised in Verifi3D based on standardised classification codes. Specialists can now leverage the NL/SfB template to simplify the model checking process by checking classification codes of a Revit or an IFC model and organize models by the NL/SfB system within Verifi3D.

When the NL/SfB template is imported into Verifi3D, specialists can run filters to show elements with specific classification codes, classify by running a single to isolate elements with a certain classification code, or run one or more filters sets to visualize multiple categories at once. By using classification filters, the BIM elements can be visually inspected to determine how the classification codes are used and if they are used as intended. Specialists can further validate by creating rules based on NL/SfB classification codes, checking if all elements have been assigned a classification code and if the classification code used is correct. Furthermore, it is possible to report and export results to Excel, CSV, or PDF file formats, and can create quantity take-offs based on NL/SfB classification codes!

The Verifi3D interface looks like the below:

With the NL/SfB template, professionals can leverage the solution and check the classification data of the model. It is possible to check project-specific requirements on elements filtered with NL/SfB codes. Users can download project templates that can be shared, amended, and taken into other projects and simplify the model-checking process. The interaction between user access roles & templates simplifies the data validation process.

In addition to NL/SfB, Verifi3D supports NAA.K.T.the Dutch material naming standard. Connect with Verifi3D’s model checking capabilities for a more efficient coordination workflow.
